Cảnh báo không vào mạng xã hội bằng trình duyệt IE
Theo Reuters, một chuyên gia nghiên cứu bảo mật Internet có trụ sở tại Italy, Rosario Valotta cho biết đã phát hiện một lỗ hổng nghiêm trọng có trong trình duyệt Internet Explorer (IE) của Microsoft. Qua đó, tin tặc dễ dàng có thể đánh cắp nhận dạng khi truy cập vào các trang mạng xã hội như FaceBook, Twitter và một số website khác.  Chuyên gia nghiên cứu bảo mật khuyên: tạm thời người dùng không nên truy cập vào mạng xã hội bằng trình duyệt IE của Microsoft. Hiện nay, có rất nhiều người truy cập vào mạng xã hội để chơi game trực tuyến. (Ảnh: T. Hoàng). Valotta gọi đó là công nghệ “cookiejacking” – tấn công bằng cookie có trong trình duyệt. Cookie có chức năng lưu giữ toàn bộ thông tin, chẳng hạn như tên và mật khẩu đăng nhập của một tài khoản web. Một khi tin tặc có được cookie đó, chúng có thể truy cập vào những website mà người dùng đã sử dụng. Được biết, lỗ hổng này được phát hiện trên tất cả các phiên bản của trình duyệt Internet Explorer, bao gồm IE8 và IE9, dành cho các phiên bản của hệ điều hành Windows. Để khai thác lỗ hổng này, tin tặc phải dụ nạn nhân kéo hoặc thả một đối tượng trên màn hình máy tính trước khi cookie bị tấn công. Mặc dù, nghe có vẻ như là nhiệm vụ khó khăn đối với tin tặc, nhưng Valotta cho biết đã thực hiện việc này khá dễ dàng. Ông đã xây dựng một trò chơi tích hợp trên Facebook nhằm dụ người sử dụng tham gia bằng cách thách thức “cởi áo” một tấm hình phụ nữ hấp dẫn có trong trò chơi. Khi trò chơi này có mặt trên FaceBook, chỉ trong vòng 3 ngày đã có hơn 80 cookies được gửi đến máy chủ của Valotta và có 150 người đã tham gia vào trò chơi này. |

Những Virus máy tính làm "điên đầu" cả thế giới
Giữa muôn vàn “đồng loại”, chúng vẫn có thể “tỏa sáng” nhờ những nét rất riêng! Virus Elk Cloner  Vào những năm 1980, loại máy tính Apple II rất phổ biến trong các trường học tại Mỹ và thật trùng hợp khi tác giả của virus Elk Cloner nhắm vào loại máy tính này lại là một học sinh. Đó cũng là loại virus đầu tiên hướng tới các máy vi tính cá nhân trong lịch sử. Tác giả của virus này là Richard Skrenta, người đang học lớp 9 vào năm 1982. Virus Elk Cloner khiến các máy tính bị nhiễm hiển thị một… bài thơ sau mỗi 50 lần khởi động. Ngày nay thì đây chỉ là một trò cười nhưng vào thời điểm ấy, nó thực sự gây chấn động dư luận. Virus Conficker  Nó đã làm cho một mạng lưới máy tính khổng lồ bị nhiễm độc và sẵn sàng làm theo mệnh lệnh. Điều này đã gây ra rất nhiều lo lắng khi Conficker xuất hiện vào năm 2008. Các chính phủ và tổ chức đã phải chi ra không ít tiền để đảm bảo rằng máy tính của họ không nằm trong “đội quân ma” của Conficker. Tuy nhiên, vẫn còn không ít máy tính đang tồn tại trên thế giới chịu ảnh hưởng của virus này và có thể một ngày nào đó sẽ nhận lệnh tấn công và một hệ thống nào đó. Virus Brain  Brain có thể không phải là loại virus phức tạp nhất nhưng nó là kẻ đầu tiên thực sự nhắm vào các máy tính cài hệ điều hành DOS của Microsoft. Nó “ngốn” bộ nhớ của máy và khiến cỗ máy nạn nhân hiện ra thông báo đã bị nhiễm độc. Brain còn thậm chí hiện luôn cả địa chỉ cần liên hệ nếu muốn giải quyết rắc rối, đó là một cặp anh em ở Pakistan. Những người này giải thích rằng họ không có ý định gây hại cho mọi người mà đó chỉ đơn giản là một biện pháp bảo vệ bản quyền dành cho phần mềm y tế mà họ là tác giả. Không hiểu ai đã copy những đoạn code đó và khiến virus lây lan. Virus ILOVEYOU  Virus này tấn công vào tình cảm con người khi nó được đính kèm theo các email tiêu đề ILOVEYOU. Và người ta thực sự đã bị mắc lừa rất nhiều. Khoảng 10% máy tính có nối mạng internet đã trở thành nạn nhân vào năm 2000. Virus không chỉ lây lan qua email mà còn tự nhân bản chính nó trên ổ cứng của người dùng và tự download phần mềm ăn trộm mật khẩu về máy tính. Thế giới đã tốn mất hàng tỉ USD, tất cả chỉ vì tình yêu. Sâu máy tính Morris  Khởi đầu, nó cũng chỉ là một thí nghiệm của tác giả Robert Morris, khi đó đang là nghiên cứu sinh sau đại học. Ông ta muốn thử xem mạng Internet vào thời điểm sơ khai của năm 1988 rộng lớn tới mức nào. Không phụ lòng chủ nhân, sâu máy tính Morris lây lan ra khoảng 6.000 máy tính của chính phủ và các trường đại học, khiến chúng chậm hẳn đi hoặc thậm chí bị treo. Morris đã bị phát hiện và bị phạt, tuy nhiên có vẻ ông đã rút ra bài học. Giờ đây, Morris trở thành giáo sư tại Học viện MIT danh tiếng của Mỹ. Virus Code Red  Virus này có tới 2 phiên bản và cả 2 đều cực kỳ nguy hiểm. Người dùng không cần phải mở file đính kèm email hay copy thứ gì để “mời” virus vào nhà, thay vì thế nó dùng luôn đường truyền Internet của họ và xâm nhập qua lỗ hổng của hệ điều hành Windows. Sau đó, virus sẽ khiến máy tính của người dùng trở thành một dạng “nô lệ” khi kẻ gửi virus có thể nắm quyền sử dụng máy một cách toàn diện. Hắn có thể ăn cắp thông tin hay dùng máy tính đó để tấn công các máy khác. Ngay cả Nhà trắng cũng lo ngại và phải tìm mọi cách ngăn chặn việc lây nhiễm. Tuy nhiên không phải ai cũng đủ sức làm như thế, kết quả là hơn 200.000 máy chủ đã bị nhiễm virus này vào năm 2001. Virus Melissa  Điểm đặc biệt của virus này là nó đặt ra mốc khởi đầu cho kỷ nguyên lây nhiễm qua email. Trước đó, virus chỉ có thể “di chuyển” qua đường đĩa mềm chậm chạp và kém hiệu quả. Sau khi đã đột nhập, nó sẽ tìm tới sổ địa chỉ và tự gửi chính mình cho toàn bộ bạn bè của chủ nhân. Ai mà lại đề phòng một email của bạn bè cơ chứ, chính vì thế Melissa lây nhiễm càng nhanh chóng hơn. Tác giả của virus thú nhận rằng anh ta viết nó cho một vũ nữ thoát y vô tình gặp ở Florida. Thật là một món quà "lãng mạn"! Virus Nimda  Virus Nimda (viết ngược của từ Admin – người điều hành – từ thường dùng trong lĩnh vực máy tính) xuất hiện năm 2001 và nhanh chóng vươn lên chiếu trên trong bảng xếp hạng virus. Chỉ mất 22 phút để nó trở thành virus lây nhiễm rộng nhất trên Trái đất. Nó lây lan qua các website, qua email và qua cả các lỗ hổng của hệ thống máy chủ. Nimda xuất hiện chỉ sau vụ khủng bố 11/9 chỉ khoảng 1 tuần và nó khiến người ta liên tưởng tới một vụ tấn công bằng vũ khí tin học. Sâu máy tính Sasser  "Thành tích" của loại sâu máy tính này cũng rất ấn tượng. Vào năm 2004, nó đã khiến Lực lượng bảo vệ bờ biển nước Anh mất khả năng sử dụng bản đồ trên máy tính, làm cho hãng tin AFP nổi tiếng không thể liên lạc với vệ tinh và buộc hãng hàng không Delta hủy các chuyến bay vì hệ thống máy tính của họ không hoạt động. Ngoài ra, các trường đại học, các tập đoàn lớn và cả các bệnh viện cũng bị tấn công. Tất cả là tác phẩm của một cậu bé 17 tuổi người Đức. Cái giá phải trả là 21 tháng án treo và tham gia một số hoạt động cộng đồng. Virus Storm  Cái tên này xuất phát từ mẹo giúp virus lây lan. Đầu năm 2007, người ta bỗng thấy hàng loạt email về số nạn nhân trong các trận bão (storm) ở châu Âu và có một đường link tới bài viết. Thời điểm ấy, bão tố là chuyện thời sự và rất nhiều người không hề nghi ngờ khi vào trang web đó, đồng nghĩa với việc download virus về máy. Tiêu đề thư cũng thường xuyên được thay đổi để phù hợp với thực tế. Sau đó, thậm chí nó còn biến tướng thành thư của đội ngũ hỗ trợ kỹ thuật hay thư kèm link tới các trang web đen để kích thích trí tò mò. Ngày nay, đây vẫn là cách lây nhiễm virus phổ biến nhất. |

Các cách đơn giản để không bao giờ nhiễm virus
Dưới đây là một số cách khá đơn giản để không bao giờ nhiễm virus: 1. Cẩn thận với những nút Play/Download giả mạoThông thường chúng được tích hợp trên các trang web để lừa người dùng kích vào đó và tải về một thứ không hề liên quan và gây lây nhiễm virus, mã độc cho người dùng. Vì vậy, hãy suy nghĩ hai lần trước khi kích vào nút tải về. Nếu người dùng đã quen thuộc với trang web này thì việc suy nghĩ hai lần trước khi kích sẽ giúp họ biết chắc rằng, vị trí nút tải về có gì thay đổi hay không? Kiểm tra thanh trạng thái, nếu tên miền trên thanh trạng thái khác với địa chỉ website đang mở, có lẽ đó là một quảng cáo độc hại. Phương pháp khác là sử dụng logic. Chẳng hạn, nếu người dùng tải về một số phần mềm và chúng hiển thị nút PLAY NOW, thì người dùng sẽ biết ngay nút đó chẳng liên quan gì và không nên kích vào. 2. Không bao giờ sử dụng trình duyệt IECho dù phiên bản IE9 đã được cải thiện rất nhiều về bảo mật nhưng trên thực tế, trình duyệt IE vẫn là mục tiêu chính của bọn tin tặc vì chúng được sử dụng khá phổ biến trên các máy tính hiện nay. Vì vậy, người dùng nên chuyển sang trình duyệt khác ít phổ biến hơn, chẳng hạn như Chrome của Google. 3. Bỏ qua các Pop upTự dưng một phầm mềm diệt virus bật ra các pop up và lừa người dùng nghĩ rằng, chúng đã phát hiện ra “mầm bệnh” và yêu cầu người dùng thực hiện tải về một phần mềm nào đó để khắc phục. Tuy nhiên, người dùng đừng có dại mà nên tắt Pop up đó đi.  Người dùng nên bỏ qua các pop up bắt nguồn từ trình duyệt. Theo quy luật chung, bỏ qua bất cứ các tin nhắn liên quan tới bảo mật nếu bạn không biết về chúng, chẳng hạn như việc kích vào nút SCAN của phần mềm diệt virus. Chẳng hạn như nếu người dùng nhận được thông báo cần quét máy tính (Scan) từ một ứng dụng mà chưa bao giờ cài đặt, thì có nghĩa rằng máy tính đã bị nhiễm virus. 4. Tránh các trang web Torrent công cộngHầu hết các trang web Torrent công khai đều tiềm ẩn mầm mống độc hại và giả mạo. Người dùng thường sử dụng các trang web Torrent để tài về những bộ phim. Tuy nhiên, nhiều trang Torrent công cộng thường ẩn chứ rất nhiều virus và tệp tin giả mạo để người dùng tải về. Do đó người dùng mê phim nên vào các trang Private tracker vì trang này chỉ mở cho các thành viên và rất khó để được chấp nhận đăng ký thành viên mới. Chúng có các chính sách khắt khe hơn nhiều so với các trang Torrent công cộng. 5. Dùng chương trình VLC player để kiểm tra tệp tin phim tải về Nếu bạn bỏ qua lời khuyên trên và vẫn tải về một số bộ phim từ các trang Torrnet công cộng, rất có thể chúng sẽ là giả mạo. Thật khó để phát hiện liệu chúng có phải là giả mạo hay không vì có kích cỡ chuẩn, nhưng khi chạy tệp tin đó, người dùng sẽ nhìn thấy tin nhắn nói rằng, bạn cần tải về một chương trình chơi video mới. Do đó, đừng tải phim từ các website công cộng và sử dụng chương trình VLC player để kiểm tra một tệp tin video tải về. 6. Không mở các tệp tin đuôi .exe được gửiNếu ai đó gửi cho bạn một trò chơi flash đóng gói cùng các tệp tin .exe hay bất cứ thứ gì khác thì hay xóa chúng đi. Hãy cảnh giác với các tệp tin có đuôi .exe đính kèm với các email,… 7. Không tìm kiếm các tiện ích thông thường trên GoogleMột xu hướng đáng lo ngại là các trang web chứa mã độc thường được xếp hạng cao trong danh sách tìm kiếm của Google về các tiện ích thông thường. Người dùng nghĩ rằng, họ đang tải chương trình xem video tốt nhất nhưng thực tế mầm bệnh virus đang tiềm ẩn trong đó. Do đó, nếu muốn tìm các tiện ích, người dùng nên vào các trang web tin cậy của các nhà sản xuất phần mềm. 8. Tạo một tài khoản khách cho các thành viên gia đìnhNếu máy tính của bạn có nhiều thành viên gia đình cùng sử dụng thì nên tạo các user khách cho họ sử dụng. Điều này sẽ tránh các user này có quyền tải về các phần mềm độc hại và cài đặt luôn trên máy tính. |

Miễn phí tên miền tiếng Việt từ 28/4/2011
Trung tâm Internet Việt Nam (VNNIC) cho biết, từ ngày 28/4/2011, các tên miền tiếng Việt có dấu sẽ được cấp phát tự do và miễn phí.
Đại diện VNNIC khẳng định, từ 0 giờ ngày 28/4, các cá nhân, tổ chức muốn sở hữu những tên miền tiếng Việt có dấu, thể hiện đầy đủ tên gọi, danh xưng, thương hiệu riêng… chỉ cần truy cập và làm các bước đăng ký thủ tục online tại địa chỉwww.tenmientiengviet.vn.
Đây là bước triển khai thứ 2 trong lộ trình cấp tên miền tiếng Việt của Trung tâm này. Giai đoạn cấp miễn phí đầu tiên đã diễn ra từ 10/01/2011 đến 27/4/2011, dành cho đối tượng doanh nghiệp, cá nhân được quyền ưu tiên sở hữu những tên miền tiếng Việt có dấu liên quan đến thương hiệu, tên tuổi của mình.

Tags
Label a site with names or categories that are meaningful to you. For example, you can label both www.bbc.co.uk and www.nytimes.com with the “news” tag. When you enter “news” into the location bar, both sites will be shown as results. A single site can have multiple tags, and there’s no limit to the number of tags you can create. You may not remember the exact name of a site, but with a tag, you’ll be able to find it easily.
Library
Make your browser as efficient as you can imagine. Your browsing history and your bookmarks are archived in the Library, where they can be easily searched and organized. As your bookmark list and history grow, you can save your frequent searches in automatically updated smart folders.
Search and Find
The find feature appears with a simple keystroke. Search for a word or phrase on an open Web page. Highlight text before using the feature and the finder opens pre-filled with your selection. See all instances of your search at once, or scroll backwards and forwards through any appearances of the word on the page.
RSS Feed Reader
Spending hours combing the Web for the latest news and updates? Instead, add an RSS feed icon to your toolbar and create feeds using an online web service, a client-side feed reader or by creating a Firefox Live Bookmark.
Download Manager
Download files seamlessly and securely! A pause and resume feature means you can stop and start anytime. So, if you’re halfway through downloading a big file and it’s time to catch the bus, just pause and pick up where you left off later. Find your bookmarked sites in a flash by entering the tag, page or bookmark name into the location bar. Tags
Label a site with names or categories that are meaningful to you. For example, you can label both www.bbc.co.uk and www.nytimes.com with the “news” tag. When you enter “news” into the location bar, both sites will be shown as results. A single site can have multiple tags, and there’s no limit to the number of tags you can create. You may not remember the exact name of a site, but with a tag, you’ll be able to find it easily.
Library
Make your browser as efficient as you can imagine. Your browsing history and your bookmarks are archived in the Library, where they can be easily searched and organized. As your bookmark list and history grow, you can save your frequent searches in automatically updated smart folders.

The find feature appears with a simple keystroke. Search for a word or phrase on an open Web page. Highlight text before using the feature and the finder opens pre-filled with your selection. 5 tuyệt chiêu tăng tốc độ mạng Internet 3G
Kết nối Internet bằng sóng di động 3G không còn xa lạ với nhiều người nhưng 5 tuyệt chiêu sau đây giúp tốc độ kết nối được cải thiện một cách đáng kể.
Trước tiên, chúng ta hãy cùng nhau thừa nhận một điều rằng tốc độ kết nối thực tế không bao giờ được như những gì các nhà mạng đang quảng cáo. Có điều, trong nhiều trường hợp bạn chỉ cần thay đổi một chút xíu cũng đủ để sự bực dọc vơi đi rất nhiều.
1. Hãy sử dụng một đoạn dây cáp nối USB
Bạn đang kết nối Internet cho chiếc laptop bằng một USB 3G (dongle)? Xin chúc mừng nhưng hãy đừng cắm trực tiếp chiếc USB đó vào laptop mà thay vào đó là dùng một đoạn dây cáp nối USB (có giá bán rất rẻ ngoài thị trường).
Việc đưa chiếc USB ra xa khỏi laptop không những giúp giảm sự nhiễu sóng (từ trường hay các loại sóng khác như wi-fi, bluetooth..) mà còn giúp bạn có thể linh hoạt điều chỉnh vị trí của chiếc USB nhằm có được hướng bắt sóng tốt nhất với cường độ tín hiệu mạnh nhất.
Sau khi nối USB 3G vào laptop bằng một đoạn cáp rời, hãy nhẹ nhàng chỉnh hướng của chiếc USB, chắc chắn bạn sẽ thấy ở một số vị trí, tốc độ kết nối cao hơn hẳn.
